Reboot/Requiem

I observe a thousand bodies everyday,
And a few souls too,
Wandering, going where life takes them,
Wondering, if they'll be happy too.

What came to them easily once,
Has been destroyed by their troubles,
There are answers to be given, mouths to be fed,
Their joy lies shattered somewhere in the rubble.

Why do they meet single-serving demons?
Who feed on their heart, and leave them with no choice.
But to throw away their dreams,
To make ends meet, amidst all the noise.

Why is love man's biggest strength?
When all it does is weaken the heart,
And leave him in withdrawal after a brief romance
Its a disease few could outsmart.

So Lord, forgive this creature who is in pain,
Take away his breath as he is better off without,
Or make everything plentiful so he doesn't feel wronged
In this race of life, don't leave him out.
